Travel Review: Twikki Island

White Beaches and Blue Seas on Twikki Island
White sand beaches, crystal clear water, green tropical rainforests. The typical image of a south pacific paradise, right?
In Twikki Island you will find all of this and more.
I recently spent a week in the islands and I’m going to tell all about the good and the bad.
DAY ONE: I departed Pleasantville ready for a relaxing week of warmth and lazing around by the sea. It was an 18 hour flight to Twikki Island but I’m used to such long journeys and everything went smoothly.
DAY TWO: Checking into my hotel (Royal Palms) was easy and I was pleased by my spacious bathroom, comfy bed and spectacular view.
The beaches in Twikki Island are beautiful and the locals are very friendly although there were a few annoying merchants in the town who would follow one around in order to make a sale.
DAY THREE: I visited an off shore island. The snorkeling here was amazing, it was at first a little frightening as there were venomous stone fish which we were advised to stay away from in this area, but once I learned what was what I felt fine.
DAY FOUR: Shopping in the market for souvenirs. I found that most quality souvenirs in Twikki Island were very inexpensive but it was sometimes hard to tell what was authentic.
DAY FIVE: I decided it was time to explore the Rain Forest. I went with a group into the jungles of Twikki Island and came face to face with adorable parrots, geckos, bats and even a Pacific Boa!
Later that night I decided to check out some of the hotel entertainment, it was interesting but as I expected, a little cheesy!
DAY SIX: I decided to take some surfing lessons on my last day, I soon found out that I had no talent what so ever and spent the rest of the day on the beach and getting a terrible sunburn!
DAY SEVEN: I cringed at the thought of my long journey home. I’d had a great few days and I will never forget the vibrant atmosphere of the south seas.
Next Week: Takemitzu Village is exposed as the Far East’s newest destination for adventure travellers.
