OAPs Reel handy at the Fishing Comp

The old folks enjoying the local fishing competition
The old folks home was empty today as all the over 65’s headed down to the water to take part in the OAP Fishathon ‘09.
Held once a year and open to all those who are over 65 years young, residents are encouraged to whip out their rods and wave them around in public, hoping to impress others with the size of their catch.
This year has seen a large increase in the amount of competitors, maybe something to do with the free cardigan entrance gift. Everyone who has taken part has said they love the Fishathon, local resident, Ollie Arnold Pinkle, said, “This is my 3rd year taking part in the Fishathon, and this year, darn blast it, I’m gonna catch me somethin’”.
Well Mr Pinkle, we wish you luck.
At the time of writing, nobody had caught anything. Come to think of it, last year nobody caught anything either. Oh well, this reporter isn’t going to be the one to tell them that they’re trying to fish in a reservoir.

HA! Looks like they need to move the fishathon, or plant fishes in the reservoir.
