Breaking News! The Sim scientists that have been working day and night on the Talking Through Bear Syndrome have found a cure! They discovered that it was in the coding of the bear to make everyone to compulsively pick the bear up and talk to everyone, canceling out any activity that either party was instructed to do so.

“This is a wonderful day!” stated a Landgrabb scientist that has been on the project since the beginning, “Now everyone can buy a bear for their newborn and enjoy it, not fear it.”

Now that the syndrome has been cure, the manufacturer is working hard to compensate for the mistake it had caused. The bear now comes in any style that you’d like. Want one in wood? They can make it to order for you! From woods to metals, you can have your ideal bear!

There are two side-effects: It changes how everyone looks and it doesn’t repair relationship damage. But this is a small price to pay for such a wonderful cure to this horrible problem.

Jake Snake, a well-known Snake Charmer is coming to Sunset Valley on Tour!

This snake-loving guy announced that he was going to take his hobby to all corners of the Sim World, and now Sunset Valley is first on the list of the places he will go.

Originally from Egypt, Jack Snake suffered from hard times when he was a child until a snake was discovered in his house. With a screaming mother next to him, he decided the only way to get it out was to charm it with his good looks are his musical instrument. Next thing he knew, his mother wouldn’t stop hugging him and he quickly raised to fame from being a snake exterminator and then the recreational sport of snake charming when he turned into an adult.

This Charmer has won many award to date. Some including the Charming Grammy, the Charming Snake Annual Contest Award, even the Sims Got Talent Award!

To reserve tickets, contact Wilsonoff Community Theater. Be quick though, the tickets are expected to go quickly.

The old folks home was empty today as all the over 65’s headed down to the water to take part in the OAP Fishathon ‘09.

Held once a year and open to all those who are over 65 years young, residents are encouraged to whip out their rods and wave them around in public, hoping to impress others with the size of their catch.

This year has seen a large increase in the amount of competitors, maybe something to do with the free cardigan entrance gift. Everyone who has taken part has said they love the Fishathon, local resident, Ollie Arnold Pinkle, said, “This is my 3rd year taking part in the Fishathon, and this year, darn blast it, I’m gonna catch me somethin’”.

Well Mr Pinkle, we wish you luck.

At the time of writing, nobody had caught anything. Come to think of it, last year nobody caught anything either. Oh well, this reporter isn’t going to be the one to tell them that they’re trying to fish in a reservoir.

After travelling extensively through Asia and the Far East I wasn’t sure if Takemizu would be the same old picturesque Sky Scrapers and Pagodas as in Japan and China or perhaps similar to the beaches of Thailand. What I got was something different entrirely.
Day One: I arrived int Takemizu just as the sun was rising. It was a sight to behold. That dusky, golden orb pushing over the city skyline. I stepped out of the airport, into the warm oriental sun. Something about the atmosphere awed me. The place was so modern but at the same time extremely traditional. This combination makes Takemizu unique and exotic. My hotel, The Pearl, was located in the heart of the city – close to everything to see and do in this world class metropolis. I spent that day wandering around the squares and parks, soaking in the sunlight and exploring. I dined in the Pearl’s restaurant. I enjoyed a tasty meal of shrimp stir fry.
Day Two: I had heard the previous day of a grand parade in the City’s Old Town, so I decided to make my way to one of Takemizu’s most historic areas. The Old Town was a fascinating line of colourful buildings all lined down one street. One either side of the black stonen road, were vibrant red marble pillars. I heard the ‘BOOM’ of a gong and moved out of the way. First came a group of dancers. Jumping around like pixies adorned with gold and jewels. The dancers were followed by soldiers marching, who were followed by a dancing dragon which was in turn followed by a massive statue of a Bhudda on wheels being pulled by four men.

My first two days in Takemizu were amazing, I had landed in what seemed to be a fantasy land cut off from the rest of the world by charm and tradition.

Conclusion to my Travel Review of Takemizu in Part Two.

I had a delightful pleasure in interviewing top notch journalist Ana-Leigh Carter as she describes her personal life, hard working times and fun little facts!

Reporter Niall: Hello there Ana, So how is life like now?

Ana: It has been excellent so far, I love to write my little stories for the newspaper and I’ve started working on my own teen newspaper, Gossip Central. It takes a direct look into new upcoming stars, embarrassing moments and hot pictures!

Reporter Niall: Wow, that sounds saucy. Talking about saucy things, have you found a perfect man yet? And are the rumors true that your going out with hot-shot, Zachary Kefferdon?

Ana: Where did you hear that? I am honestly not in a relationship with such a vulgar man, But I do have my fair share of love and appreciation, by my wonderful fiancee Hank Pesterworth.

Reporter Niall: Thank you for clearing that up, Ana. I would now like to say what will will be seeing of you for the next month?

Ana: You can expect more stories, gossip and a lot more zany adventures in the top selling newspaper, ZIP! News!

Reporter Niall: I seem to nearly have run out of questions to ask, it seems like those were three top ones! Maybe some random ones are now need for addressing! What is your favourite food?

Ana: It’s between fruit parfait and salmon.

Reporter Niall: Is it true you wear a duckie bikini? Why is your name hard to pronounce? And Why do you have a lisp?

Ana: I wear duckie bikini’s, they are funky! My name is hard to pronounce cause some of you are just generally stupid. And I have a lisp cause I place my tongue in my mouth a weird way, don’t you say anything dirty about that!

Reporter Niall: Well, this interview is really really long so let’s stop right there.

Reporter Niall: Well I’ve been Niall and this has been an interview with Ana-Leigh Carter.

There might be a part two, I’ll let you all decide.

Thank you and happy simming!

It’s that time of year again, when women from across PleasantVille warm up their palms, stretch out their fingers and prepare for SlapFest!

SlapFest is a tradition, staring in 1992 when a group of ladies got into an argument in a local park. The resulting altercation resulted in a record number of slaps ever seen inside 3 minutes.

Onlookers noticed this and since that day, every year people meet up in their local parks and just slap each other silly.

Not everyone finds this activity fun however. Many people, such as Mr W. Ussy, believes that this is just too violent and should be stopped, “It’s all too much! Ok, it may have been a bit of fun to start with, but they slap hard these day … very hard”. My Ussy then curled up into a ball and hid under the slide.

We would have interviewed some of the participants, but to be honest, we didn’t dare get in the way of their warm up slaps.

So, love it or hate it, it’s here again. SlapFest ‘09 is going to make many cheeks glow red raw, you can count on it!

Are you taking part? Let us know about it.

We have just received this shocking image of a woman who has been mutated into a bear.

According to international research reports, Sarah Watson (32), should have all the physical characteristics of a bear but the brain of a human.

According to Watson’s family and friends, she carried out the procedure at Landgraab laboratories.

Sarah came out of the building having the face of a bear and apparently… the brain of a bear.

The image was taken right before Watson attacked the camera man and put him in hospital. Witnesses of the shocking scene immediately called animal control.

A car magically appeared on Landgraab laboratories’ lot and a man came out with a small net; he had to go back and get a larger net, which gave Sarah time to attack even more people. Luckily, her mother, Cheryl Watson (71), came to the scene and calmed Sarah down.

Ms Cheryl Watson pressed charges on Landgraab laboratories. Malcolm Landgraab, heir of Landgraab laboratories, denied the allegations and had this to say “She was already a bear when she came to us, I swear”.

Cheryl replied saying “How mature, Malcolm”.

“I saw Mrs Crumplebottom hitting someone with her hand bag but then when I was driving home i saw her giving money to poor people!” a young man exclaimed “I could not believe what I was seeing“.

Sims Times had a chance to speak to the Goths (claimed to be a relative of hers), we first talked to Mortimer.

“Do you think Mrs. Crumplebottom is good?” We asked, “Bella was a nice woman!” Mortimer said off topic and sounded dreamy. “The question was do you think Mrs. Crumplebottom is good?!” We screamed. “Ahhh ohhh yes, ummm i do believe there is a nice side of herrrrrrr………“, Mortimers voice drifted off!

Well that did not work so we asked Cassander. “So, Mrs Crumplebottom good or bad?”

She responded with “I really don’t know, last time I saw her was when I was a toddler but that’s over now and I don’t remember!” Cassander answered!

And so that was that. Do you think Mrs. Crumplebottom is bad?
